Flight Training And Aircraft Rental
We've been training pilots at Smith Reynolds Airport
in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, since 1990.
Our FAA certificated Flight Instructors
have helped thousands of people discover the sky.
We also provide aircraft rental services, discovery flights,
sightseeing flights, aerial surveys, and aerial photography.
We provide flight instruction from Private Pilot License
through Airline Transport Pilot (ATP).
Piedmont Flight Training operates under Part 61 FAA Regulations
with the FAA approved curriculum used in most Part 141 schools.
All students follow a syllabus and
lessons are tracked in permanent student record folders.
We are fortunate to be able to work with a tower in a Class D airspace.
Nearby practice areas allow students to learn basic maneuvers with little distraction,
while the moderate amount of private and commercial traffic at the airport itself
allows for instruction in a variety of real-world situations.
In addition to hands-on training in the aircraft,
we offer ground school classes and
weekend pretest review courses.
We teach students of all ages and all walks of life.
Some are pursuing careers as airline pilots.
Some plan to use their piloting skills in support of their own businesses.
Others just want to fly for pleasure, whether it's a weekend trip to the beach
or an afternoon spent enjoying a privilege most people never experience.
We work with learning institutions such as Guilford Technical Community College,
Wake Forest University, Forsyth County Career Center and area High School ROTC programs,
but most of our students study solely at our facilities.
Our standard office hours are Mon-Fri 9am-6pm and Sat&Sun 9am-5pm,
but our flight instructors are happy to schedule student flights outside those hours,
especially during the longer days of the summer.
We will conform to your schedule, and go at your speed.

we offer accelerated training options to
help you achieve your goals quickly and efficiently.
You set the goal and we'll help you meet the commitment
with multiple lessons each day and extended scheduling.

we can help you choose a financing option
which will let you achieve your goals
in a realistic manner.
